Deployment Operations Specialist

Overview:

GoTab is a leading technology company specializing in Point of Sale (POS) and contactless ordering and payment platforms for restaurants, retail, and entertainment venues. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Deployment Specialist to join our team and assist with operations.

Job Summary:

The Deployment Specialist will assist with the daily operations of the deployment team, ensuring seamless implementation and support for our technology solutions. This includes checking team efficiency within the CRM, ensuring key items do not dip below thresholds for supply chain and stockouts, provisioning POS systems, and optimizing workflows or noting when they are slower. A general understanding of technology, as well as the ability to adapt to evolving situations, is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities:

  • Document and refine deployment processes, providing feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that installations meet client needs and resolve any process challenges.
  • Support the backend systems for setup, testing, and troubleshooting of POS systems.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing POS deployments at client locations.
  • Provide ongoing operational support and assist in resolving shipping and return-related issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, support, and engineering teams to address deployment challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Slack and Email).
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Experience in a technical support, operations, or deployment role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with POS systems or contactless technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot, Slack, and Google Workspace is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry and  operations.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. This position may occasionally require helping to ship, unbox, and lift POS products and supplies (up to ~25 pounds). This job is in-person 5 days a week in our Arlington, VA office, located on top of the Courthouse Metro with bus service and ample parking.
